More graduate jobs may be offered in London this year with a leading IT and business services company.
Anglo-Dutch firm Logica also said there was a chance of more IT vacancies around the UK as its head office is based in Reading and the firm also has a presence in major cities like Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Aberdeen.
Logica wants to double its number of European graduates because it expects a rise in public sector outsourcing work, with government functions such as tax returns and vehicle tax discs already being moved to online services.
Britain provided the firm, which raised its outsourcing orders by 21% in 2009, with £750 million revenue last year, an increase of 6% on 2008.
Logica provided 500 graduates with IT services business jobs around Europe in 2009 and expects to provide around 1,000 graduate vacancies this year, about 100 of which are predicted to be in the UK.
