Name: Charlotte Hammond
Having graduated from Loughborough University in 2011 with a 2:1 in Product Design and a flare for competitive sports, I decided to set myself a challenge - to find a career that would push me to the best of my ability. With an interest in interior design and property development, I decided to pursue a career in real estate. Foxtons was immediately my first choice. Its reputation for being successful, hard working and a leader in its field made it the perfect place to start building my career.
The training was challenging but the more I learnt the more I wanted to be a part of the team. I met fantastic people who were friendly, energetic and supportive, inspiring me to take every opportunity I was presented with.
I was given the role of sales negotiator in the Sloane square office and was excited by the prospects and targets that lay ahead. My mentor and manager encouraged me to be confident and proactive to work to my full potential.
As a Sales Negotiator I meet people from all over the world, finding out their personal requirements and helping them to find their perfect property. I enjoy passing on the knowledge I have obtained, helping buyers understand the process and current market conditions when purchasing a property. Along with this I have met some fantastic people with whom I still keep in touch with.
Although we work hard, we also have the pleasure of receiving some excellent rewards. Recently I was delighted to have won an award for outstanding customer service, where I won Selfridges vouchers. We also have targets for new cars and a Ferrari for the weekend, which is something I hope to achieve within the next year. I have enjoyed many company social events including Christmas parties, sales team outings and regular area dinners, all of which provide an opportunity to network with all the other colleagues within the company.
Foxtons continues to be a company I am proud to represent keeping me motivated and eager to continue my challenging but enjoyable career. I hope to progress throughout the company as Foxtons continues to expand.

• What do you look for in a job applicant?

No. A knowledge of London or the Home Counties is an advantage but not a necessity. You will be placed in an office we think suits you best and given time to understand the local area and learn from our experienced employees.
