Training & Profiles

The Essential Skills Series

The transition from university to work can be daunting. Deadlines are often shorter, multi- tasking is the norm, life is busier and you’ll come across pressures and obstacles you’ve never even considered before. We want you to succeed, so we’ve created the Essential Skills Series – short films with simple but invaluable career tips and strategies our consultants use every day. Visit our YouTube channel to watch the films and then explore the other learning experiences we offer, such as internships, placements and Boot Camp on our careers page.

We are also hosting live Q&A sessions with our recent graduate analysts so you can ask questions and hear their honest answers in real time. This is a great opportunity to speak to people who have gone from university to the workplace, learned valuable lessons and gained priceless insights. Keep an eye on our Twitter or Facebook page for more details.

Accenture Consulting Group (ACG)

Over two years or more of live project work and intense training, you will gain the experience and skills to become a high performer in consulting. The secret to your success will be the ability to solve complex problems, network well with colleagues and build strong relationships with clients. You’ll also need at least a 2.1 degree and 340 UCAS points; if you’ve got that, you can look forward to a starting salary of £31,500, plus a £10,000 sign-on bonus in your first year and competitive benefits package.

We have now filled all of our graduate positions for 2012, and our next available start dates are 2013.

Schemes and Internships

For those of you looking for Placement opportunities, we have plenty to choose from. The Summer Vacation Scheme is eight weeks of intense training for first to penultimate year students. Our six and 12-month Industrial Placements are perfect to gain in-depth business skills, working as a member of the team on live client projects. There’s also our partnership with Teach First, to enable you to make a great contribution to education in the UK. Plus we have our very own Boot Camp, a 48- hour action-packed event to give you a full-on experience of life at Accenture. If you impress us in any of these areas, you might even walk away with a full-time offer.

Accenture Technology Solutions (ATS)

As a graduate within ATS, you’ll focus on developing, deploying and maintaining systems and software for international clients. Along the way you’ll build advanced skills in technologies such as .Net, Siebel and Java, amongst others. Plus you’ll get to work with established leaders like Microsoft, Oracle and SAP, as well as with emerging market trendsetters. Your starting salary is £26,500, plus a competitive benefits package. So if you’ve graduated in – or soon to be graduating in a technology-related degree, apply now.

Industrial Placement

Within ATS our 12-month Industrial Placement gives you practical, hands-on experience to the challenges and satisfactions that come from working on real-life solutions delivery. You’ll be making a great contribution to the team and by the end of the placement; you will come away with more than just a year’s experience. You’ll also have the technical skills, business exposure and understanding needed to work in the team and for our clients. Plus, if you impress us and we’ve got a business need, we’ll make you an offer to come back and join us full-time.

Greater opportunities

Whichever programme you join, the learning you gain from real work will be supported by exceptional training - which includes a comprehensive induction programme into your area of the business – as well as the guidance of our talented people.
