The Mountbatten Institute offers paid overseas internships and opportunities in postgraduate international business education to university graduates throughout the world. Approximately 300 graduates worldwide are selected to join the New York Programme each year and gain invaluable professional work experience as well as a postgraduate business qualification or advanced degree.
The Mountbatten Institute's multifaceted and renowned global exchange programme has provided international, work/study opportunities for graduates since its founding in 1984. For the duration of the 12 month programme, Mountbatten participants work full-time for their Sponsor Company while studying part-time towards either the Postgraduate Certificate in International Business Practice or the full MBA in International Business Practice which includes an additional term of researcha nd field work in Asia on completion of the New York year. Both qualifications are awarded by our partner institution, St Mary's University College, London.

The mission of the Mountbatten Institute is to foster international and cross-cultural understanding through experiential education, practical training and residence abroad, and to provide opportunities for personal growth and professional development. The Institute is named in honour of the late Earl Mountbatten of Burma, and is governed by a non-profit Board of Directors. Its patron is Lady Patricia, the Countess Mountbatten of Burma. The Institute partners globally with government agencies, sponsor companies and colleges and universities to provide its unique programme to young people around the world. The Institute has regional offices in London, New York and Bangkok.
