At the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team, a group of passionate and determined people work to design, develop, manufacture and race the cars driven by seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton and Grand Prix winner George Russell.

Whether working in our Operations, Technical, Race or Business Support functions, we are all in and aspire to build the greatest team in the history of our sport.

About the Role:

The graphic design industrial placement is the ultimate opportunity to kick start your creative design career by gaining valuable hands-on experience in a very exciting and fast-paced sector.

The Brand and design team strive to provide first-class creatives which adds value to the business, assisting it to visually perform at its optimum and stand out both on and off the track.

The remit of the brand and design team is wide and covers many areas of design including all brand, trackside, internal, clothing, social, hospitality, interiors, and commercial design elements.

Proactivity and innovation are integral to the brand and design team’s ability to stretch to the ever-diversifying needs of the business. The successful candidate will support the brand design team with creative projects to contribute to reaching their goals and those of the wider business.

• Video and/or 3D design skills
• Print knowledge

Skills you could gain from your placement include:

• Understanding the different creative design avenues within an F1 team
• Deeper understanding of industry standard design process’s
• Experience working within a design team
• Deeper understanding of software and their uses
• Experience of project and time management

Recruitment timings and process:

Typically, our Industrial Placements are for a thirteen-month period starting in July 2024.

By the time the placement begins, you must have at least one academic year of study remaining after your placement.

All assessments in the recruitment process are in English: this is the primary language used within the organisation and you need a good level of written and spoken English in the Industrial Placement role.

This position is office-based, at our campus in Brackley, United Kingdom.
