of communications to keep our nation safe. We work closely with our
partners in the intelligence community to safeguard Britain’s people,
interests and businesses from threats. Think cyber-attacks, espionage,
terrorism, and organised crime. It’s challenging, varied and meaningful
work that you simply won’t find anywhere else.
As a maths and cryptography specialists, you’ll take on a role like no other. You’ll work collaboratively in multiskilled teams and tackle unique ever-changing problems. From algebra and probability to number theory, statistics and optimisation – your mathematical mind will help protect the UK. You’ll work across fascinating areas like cryptography, cryptanalysis network exploitation, cyber security, data science, machine learning, mathematical modelling, and more. Plus, you’ll be using some of Europe’s most powerful computers to impact on critical knowledge and key decisions.
Ideally, you’ll have a minimum 2:1 degree in a maths-related disciplines including (but not limited to), computer science, statistics or physics. You’ll love solving problems and adapting to new circumstances. Naturally curious, with the ability to learn quickly, you’ll have a keen interest in technology.
