Graduate Analyst Officer - Evaluation

Role Responsibility

This is an opportunity to join Kent County Council’s Analytics team as a Graduate Analyst Officer and make an important contribution to the evaluation of service effectiveness and programme impacts of public services in our county.

Evidence-based commissioning is a priority for us, and your role will involve working with council colleagues and partner organisations to provide advice and support in respect of customer and service insights. This information will help us understand the demand on services and resources and be integral to the evaluation of service effectiveness.

Flexible in your approach while maintaining a specialist focus on the key area of evaluation, we’ll require you to communicate your work clearly and convey your findings to your colleagues.

About You

To be a success in this role, you’ll have a 2:1 degree or its equivalent in any subject, good GCSE passes in Maths and English, and proven experience of delivering projects. A willingness to work towards a Market Research Executive apprenticeship is essential, as is a commitment to further professional development. You should possess strong presentation skills, the ability to articulate complex ideas to non-specialist audiences, and knowledge of how to apply technical know-how of qualitative and quantitative methods.

Always ready to work in partnership with your colleagues to provide high-quality contributions to joint projects, your understanding of the techniques required to capture, analyse and evaluate data and information will be first-class. You should also have excellent IT skills and knowledge of mixed method approaches.

At Kent County Council we have a number of values that enable us to build a flexible, compassionate, inclusive and empowering culture. We’re dedicated to working together as we deliver for the best interests of our county, and are focused on putting our residents, families and communities at the heart of decision making. If you believe in these values and are ready to make a positive contribution to our work, we want to hear from you.
