Projects and Research Assistant – Graduate Level

Healthwatch Nottingham & Nottinghamshire (HWNN) is the independent patient and public champion that has a statutory responsibility to hold local health and social care services accountable to their communities for the services they commission and provide.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Healthwatch Nottingham and Nottinghamshire (HWNN) team to gain practical experience of implementing your learning from your Social Science/Research degree in order to improve Health and Social Care services in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. You will do this through carrying out literature reviews, designing effective surveys, analysing the results and sharing findings through reports and presentations in order to bring the voice of service users to commissioners and providers.

This is an exciting new post for HWNN at a time when the whole team is embracing new and innovative ways of working for HWNN to be the best it can be for our community and health and social care partners. There are new contracts and funding to gather experiences of mental health services and attitudes to digital technology for health care. Therefore, we are looking for a passionate, self-motivated candidate to join our growing organisation and support all aspects of the project cycle – from initial concept to delivery of recommendations.

You will be part of the Evidence and Insight Team and work closely with the Programme and Insights Manager and Projects and Insights Officer. If this sounds like you, please send your application without delay, giving particular attention to the criteria as set out in the job description and person spec with examples of how you meet the requirement of the role.

We warmly welcome applications from individuals from all of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire’s population groups and diverse communities. A Job Description, Person Specification and an application form for this post and further information about our work are available by visiting

Please note: Only completed application forms will be accepted, please do not send a CV.

If you would like to discuss this role in more detail, please contact Hester Kapur – Programme and Insights Manager on 07940 736996.

Closing date for applications: 9am Monday 5th July 2021

Interviews will be held on Monday 12th July 2021
