Bupa’s purpose is to help people lead longer, healthier, happier lives. We do this by providing a broad range of healthcare services, support and advice to people throughout their lives. With no shareholders, we invest our profits to provide more and better healthcare.
Employing nearly 52,000 people, Bupa has operations around the world, principally in the UK, Australia, Spain, New Zealand and the USA, as well as Hong Kong, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, India, China and across Latin America.
Our work is incredibly varied too. Today, we’re involved in everything from health insurance and hospitals to chronic disease management and specialist dementia care. The size and diversity of our organisations means there are lots of places you can take your career.
Each year, we provide a small number of graduates the opportunity to build a successful career in our growing international business. On our programmes, you’ll enjoy a high level of challenge combined with an equally high level of support. You’ll have the flexibility to follow the career path you’re most interested in. You’ll have the chance to gain experience in a wide range of businesses throughout the UK and potentially overseas.
You’ll also be able to develop real commercial skills - while making a positive difference to people’s lives.
And not many graduates can say that.

How much will I be paid during the programme?
£25,000
When would I start work?
All programmes start with a month-long induction to the business. This occurs mid-September.
Where are the typical work locations?
Placements arise in line with the needs of business, so you should be prepared to relocate. Our main locations in the UK are London, Manchester, Leeds, Brighton and Staines. If you're on the IS programme, you will be predominantly based in our IT department in Staines, although there will be opportunities to spend time in other locations.
Will I be guaranteed a placement outside of the UK?
An international placement is not guaranteed, although it is common for graduates on the General and Marketing programmes. There are no international placements currently offered as part of the IS programme.
It is worth remembering, however, that Bupa is an international company that's still expanding. Even if you don't work internationally during your time on the graduate programme, there may well be opportunities in the future. Several alumni from our programmes are now in permanent positions across the world.
